In Luke 16: 1-12, we learn of the unjust steward. I think the Lord here is saying that we need to show the same compassion and caring for our fellow man as the Lord does for us.
Luke 16: 19-31 teaches us about a beggar named Lazarus and a rich man. I think we are taught here about the importance of helping those are less fortunate then us, not only for their sake, but for our own as well.
Luke 17:11-19 is the parable of the ten lepers. I think showing themselves to a priest is sort of like if we had someone in our day talk to the bishop about a sin they committed. I’m not sure of that so don’t quote me though. Only one of the lepers came back after they had been cleansed to thank Jesus.
Luke 18:1-9 tells us the parable of the unjust judge. He gave this parable to show us to put our trust in God, not only ourselves.
Luke 18:10-14 is the parable of the Pharisee and the Publican. This parable shows how the Pharisee was so prideful and basically prayed to God to show that he was better then everyone else. The Publican was so humble that he would not even lift up his eyes, and asked for God’s forgiveness.
